User Experience Designer (Contract)

Pushstart Creative is seeking talented interactive design professionals to collaborate on upcoming projects. Ideal candidates are: highly motivated, proactive, interested in learning, research driven, adaptable, and fun-loving. Our studio focuses on creating engaging end-user experiences through both physical and digital solutions so a strong interest in both is a must.


While this role will primarily focus on UX, interface design, and branding work - members of our flexible team are encouraged to collaborate across disciplines to help out on projects in anyway they can.

  • Conduct formal and informal market and audience research
  • Develop digital strategies that utilize appropriate channels to meet client goals
  • Product information architecture deliverables in the form of user flows, sitemaps, and wireframes
  • Design new, or work within existing, branding programs
  • Create compelling and intuitive user interface designs for web, software, mobile, tablet, and more


We want it all! Our dynamic agency enjoys working in a variety of mediums so please be sure to highlight any skills you may have above and beyond this list.

  • Working knowledge of design principles including color theory, typography, layout, and image creation / manipulation
  • Understanding of user experience best practices and the ability to create deliverables that articulate complex information or functionality systems
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Sketch
  • Basic knowledge of common web development languages (html, css, javascript, etc) - applicants will not be required to code but a working knowledge is expected


Ultimately a great portfolio is the most important part of your application but ideal candidates will also have at least:

  • A degree in design, UX, or related field
  • Three plus years experience working in interaction design

This is primarily a contract position but there is always the potential for full-time employment. For the right candidate we are happy to create a working schedule that aligns with any additional contracts or projects currently underway.

Part-Time Assistant Studio Manager

This role is responsible for helping perform general administrative and operational support to ensure that the office is running efficiently and at its highest capacity. Working alongside the designers to support on various projects, you’ll be exposed to the world of product design and development. No experience in this arena is required, but an interest in learning more is a definite plus!

Because of the quick paced nature of the studio, this position requires superior organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. Must be a team player and able to manage the details of assigned duties as interesting needs arise. You’ll be expected to become familiar with the general needs of the internal team, clients, and office in general to ensure efficient and effective operations; but you’ll also need to be ready to learn and research something new each day.


  • Maintain overall office organization,tidiness, and processes
  • Maintain office appearance and prepare office for client visits
  • Communicate with clients and guests: answering phone calls, respond to emails, messages, and questions
  • Research, seek out, and onboard vendors as necessary
  • Accept, ship, and track packages via UPS, FedEx, and DHL
  • Maintain office by restocking supplies, tidying up, and providing general support
  • Proof read documentation and presentations
  • Conduct any other tasks as assigned by project managers or designers which may include research, sourcing, content generation, schedule building, or other admin activities
  • Support billing processes, as needed
